John Orie

John Orie, DPT


John graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2021. He specializes in sports-specific neuromuscular re-education, postural restoration techniques, and running biomechanical movement analysis. John can’t hide that as a previous collegiate runner, he particularly loves treating endurance athletes, and has worked with all skill levels ranging from first time runners up to professional athletes in ATRA, USATF, and USAT. John additionally is an LGBTQIA+ affirming care provider and was a Diversity Scholar and committee member at Northwestern, and he believes in narrative medicine’s ability to reimagine how providers care for their patients. Being a previous English Literature major in college, John is captivated by the way movement shares in the telling of our stories and enriches life experiences. As a physical therapist, he aims to team up with you and discover ways to support you in leading the lifestyle that you enjoy. In his time away from the clinic, John enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction, writing, running new routes and trails in Seattle, puzzling, and skiing.
