Denise graduated from the University of Washington in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Nutritional Sciences. She then attended Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, graduating in May of 2019 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. It was there that she was trained in the Movement System Impairments approach as taught by Shirley Sahrmann and associates. She utilizes specific movement analysis to evaluate patients, and incorporates education for proper movement with all of her patients. She enjoys working with patients of all ages in the outpatient orthopedic setting, and equipping them to take care of their bodies and move often. She is always looking for fitness opportunities and enjoys running, snowboarding, weightlifting and barre workouts. The rest of her free time is dedicated to spending time with her husband, friends and family in our beautiful city.
“My MRI showed I have 2 bulging disc and 2 ruptured disc in my back. The surgeon thought as a last resort before surgery that I try physical therapy. I am so thankful I took a friends recommendation and visited Biojunction in West Seattle. I am even more grateful that I was paired with Denise Griffith, PT, DPT. Denise was professional, extremely knowledgeable as to the proper technique to exercise without risking further damage to my back. Denise, you are the bomb and I appreciate all you did for me, and getting back on the golf course!”
